Privacy Policy — Session Alive & Catch Words

1. Who we are
Session Alive & Catch Words (“Session Alive”) is a Chrome Extension published by SimplyAi. It helps keep eligible browser tabs/sessions active and monitors user-selected words and phrases on webpages, with optional visual, sound, and Telegram alerts. Subscription and account restore features are provided through SimplyAi’s Session Alive backend services.
This Privacy Policy applies to Session Alive & Catch Words. It is separate from privacy documents for other SimplyAi products (including NeuroVision AI).
2. Product overview
- Session Alive — observes local activity/editing state to decide when a safe refresh may keep a session active.
- Catch Words — scans visible page text locally for words/phrases you configure.
- Optional alerts — visual overlay/locator, sound alert, and optional Telegram notifications.
- Account / subscription — 14-day free trial, then $2.99 USD per month (taxes may apply), with restore via the same email.
Session Alive does not claim to keep sessions alive through Windows Sleep or similar OS sleep states.
3. Catch Words — local processing
Catch Words inspects webpage text locally within the Chrome extension to detect user-configured words and phrases. SimplyAi does not upload entire webpage content to its backend for Catch Words matching. SimplyAi does not maintain a central browsing-history database for Catch Words scanning.
4. Session Alive — local processing
Session Alive observes browser/page signals needed to determine whether a tab appears idle and whether refreshing would be reasonably safe. Examples include timing/activity state, editing/form/dirty-state signals, and page reload timing. This processing is primarily local to your browser.
5. Website permissions
The extension may request access to websites so it can:
- read visible page text for Catch Words,
- observe safe activity/editing state for Session Alive,
- locate matched words on the page for optional overlays.
Access modes may include Ask Per Website, optional All Websites access, and monitoring of All Open Tabs when you enable that scope. Broad website access is optional and granted by you. You can change Chrome site-access settings later.
6. What we do not collect
Based on the current Session Alive implementation:
- no microphone access,
- no audio capture from websites,
- no camera access,
- no keylogging service,
- no sale of browsing data,
- no SimplyAi browsing-history profiling database.
7. Optional Telegram alerts
Telegram Alerts are optional. When enabled and configured, the extension may send alert-related information to Telegram’s API so you can receive the notification you requested. Alert content can include the detected word/phrase, match count, page title, page URL/domain, detection time, and related alert metadata.
Your Telegram Bot Token and Chat ID are stored in local Chrome extension storage. They are transmitted to Telegram when the extension sends an alert or connection test. Telegram processes that information under Telegram’s own terms and privacy policy.
8. Account and subscription data
Session Alive Production authentication uses SimplyAi’s Render backend with email verification codes delivered by Resend. Account and subscription/entitlement records are stored in a Neon-hosted PostgreSQL database. Neon Auth is not used; Neon provides the database, while Render performs server-side authentication and business logic.
When you use account, trial, subscription, or restore features, Session Alive infrastructure may process:
- email address,
- Session Alive account identifier,
- subscription/license status,
- plan (monthly),
- billing phase (for example trial, active, pending checkout),
- trial start/end timestamps where applicable,
- current entitlement period,
- cancellation / cancel-at-period-end state,
- Polar customer / subscription / checkout identifiers,
- hashed email verification challenges and related security metadata (for example attempt/expiry state),
- session tokens issued after successful verification.
You may receive an email verification code to restore or access your account. Authentication success alone does not grant paid access. Entitlement depends on a valid license/subscription (or an approved Store-review restore path operated separately from customer billing).
9. Local storage
The extension stores settings and operational state in Chrome extension storage, which may include:
- feature preferences and master toggle,
- Session Alive interval preference,
- Catch Words list,
- Telegram configuration (including Bot Token and Chat ID when you enter them),
- sound/visual alert preferences,
- website-access preference and monitoring scope,
- account/session entitlement cache used to unlock features.
Uninstalling the extension normally clears extension-local storage for that browser profile.
10. Offline entitlement cache
The extension may keep a short-lived local entitlement cache so features can continue briefly if the billing API is temporarily unreachable. This is a limited grace/cache period, not indefinite offline access.
11. Trial, billing, and cancellation
Commercial model: 14-day free trial, then $2.99 USD per month. Taxes may apply depending on customer location.
Uninstalling the extension does not automatically cancel a server-side subscription. Manage or cancel through the in-extension subscription management / customer portal process provided for Session Alive.
Reinstall / Already Subscribed: uninstalling removes local extension data/cache. Server-side account/subscription records may remain so you can restore an existing subscription using the same email and verification process.
12. Payment data
SimplyAi does not store customers’ full credit/debit card numbers in the Session Alive database. Payment details are handled by Polar and its payment processors according to Polar’s terms and privacy practices.

14. Retention and deletion
Local preferences remain on your device until you change them, clear them, or uninstall the extension. Account, license, and billing records may be retained as needed for active accounts, subscriptions, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal, or security obligations. Automatic deletion timers are not claimed beyond what the service implements; deletion/assistance requests are handled on request.

15. Security
SimplyAi uses server-side secrets, authenticated API requests where applicable, webhook verification for billing events, and product-specific entitlement checks. Secrets such as service-role keys, JWT signing material, webhook secrets, and operational review credentials are not published in the extension package or this policy.
16. Children’s privacy
Session Alive is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern, contact support@simplyaiapp.com.
17. Changes
SimplyAi may update this policy when the product, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. The current version is available at this public URL.
